Momoko Kamiya
MOMOKO KAMIYA holds the honour of being the first successful marimba
soloist to have entered the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts
and Music. The following year she entered the Juilliard School
in New York completing the Bachelor of Music course in three years,
during which she received many scholarships and awards, including
the Soul Goodman, Morris Goldenberg, Naumberg and Juilliard Association
Award. Kamiya's professional career began with a recital at Suntory
Hall in Tokyo in 1990, continuing with numerous performances and
gaining international recognition when she won the first prize
in the Luxembourg International Marimba Competition in 1995.

Bogdan Bacanu
Professor für Marimba an dem Bruckner Musikkonservatorium in
Linz, Musiker des Jahres 1999 in Australien. Beim Frist World Marimba
Competition in Stuttgart (1996) ist ihm ein wichtiger Preis zuerkannt
worden - der Keiko Abe Preis. Seitdem genießt er die Anerkennung
als Spezialist für Aufführung der Keiko Abe Werke, sowie
barocker Kompositionen. Als Solist ist er durch die Welt gereist,
wurde auch zu wichtigen Festivals eingeladen, u. a. nach Princeton/USA,
Osaka/Japan, Vienna/Austria. |

Jacek Wota
Jacek Wota is the solo timpanist of the Philharmonic Orchestra in Wroclaw
and professor at the Music Academy in Wroclaw/ Poland. As a soloist and
chamber musician he commissioned and premiered a lot of works, written
mostly by Polish composers. He is very activ as performer, teacher and
judge at numerous percussion competitions. He was one of our lecturers
at the IKMMA 2003 and 2005 in Wroclaw. |
